Wrong-Way Motorcycle Driver Killed in Houston
Traffic accidents happen every day in Houston. Recently, police reported two separate wrong-way drivers in the same location on the same day.
Unfortunately, one the wrong-way driving incidents resulted in a deadly motorcycle crash.
The First Accident
In the first accident, a motorcycle driver was killed after he collided with a car while going the wrong way on the interstate. The interstate was temporarily closed so law enforcement officials could investigate.
A passenger and the driver of the car the motorcycle driver struck were taken to a medical facility with minor injuries, according to media reports. They were both expected to live.
The Second Accident
While officers were investigating the wrong-way motorcycle crash, a second wrong-way crash occurred in the same location.
A driver managed to break through the barricade police had set up and drove the wrong way on a nearby exit ramp. Luckily, Houston police officers stopped the man before he could cause a crash. At the time, officers said they were still trying to determine whether alcohol was involved in this incident.
Accidents like these show just how dangerous driving can be. Even if you're doing everything right, a negligent or careless driver can cause you to have a car accident.
Car accidents can land you with injuries, a damaged vehicle, medical bills, lost time at work, and other problems.
